2. Marco Belinelli

Marco Belinelli might not seem like the traditional buyout candidate as he does not have a high salary this season. Belinelli is only making $6 million this season, so it is not like the San Antonio Spurs are going to save a lot of money if they were to buy out the veteran wing.

However, as someone who has been all over the league and has won an NBA Title with the San Antonio Spurs, Belinelli has a lot of respect and the Spurs might translate that respect into a buyout, paving the way for him to sign with a contender.

Like the Kings, the Spurs are in the thick of things as the tenth seed in the Western Conference but they are not expected to get out of the first round if they do make the playoffs and Belinelli is not going to make or break the team’s season.

In fact, there were reports that the Spurs were shopping Belinelli prior to the NBA Trade Deadline. He was not ultimately traded, but this does show that the Spurs are perhaps willing to move on from the veteran wing.

Bellinelli provides another reliable shooting option for the Los Angeles Lakers and we saw him really blossom in this exact role with the Philadelphia 76ers two seasons ago.

Bellinelli and his experience would be a great addition and as the fourth or fifth scoring option on the court, Bellinelli could be quite dangerous on the receiving end of LeBron’s drive and kicks.
