The Los Angeles Rams need to improve via the NFL Draft this offseason, as it might be the only way to improve after a disappointing season.

The Los Angeles Rams missed the playoffs just one year after making it all the way to the Super Bowl and are going to need to make some improvements this offseason to keep up with the San Francisco 49ers.

The only problem is that the Los Angeles Rams do not have many outlets to improve. The team does have $23.2 million in cap space, putting them $18 million below league average. They have some money to spend, but not a lot.

Thus, the 2020 NFL Draft is very important for the Rams to improve. The one caveat is that for the fourth year in a row, the Rams are without a first-round pick in the draft.

Improvements are still possible, though, and using FanSpeak’s NFL Mock Draft Simulator, we conducted our first mock draft of the offseason to accomplish these improvements. It is important to note, we used Matt Miller of Bleacher Report’s big board with Fanspeak’s team needs.

We actually just wrote an article a few days ago about how Prince Wanogho would be the perfect second-round pick up for the Los Angeles Rams. So when we saw him still on the board when the 52nd pick rolled around, it was hard not to pick him.

What is most exciting about Wanogho is his size and athleticism. The 6’7″, 305-pound offensive lineman has all of the intangibles to not only be a starting tackle in the NFL but to excel as a starting tackle.

However, the reason he is projected to likely be a second-round pick is his rawness. While the Rams need a tackle that can slot in right away, it is hard to not love what Wanogho brings to the table and the organization just need to put faith in the coaching staff that they can coach up an excellent raw talent, such as Wanogho.

It is a risk, but if the Rams really want to make a big improvement on the offensive line in the second round then Wanogho is the way to go.
