This would be the second prospect that the Los Angeles Rams selected from the Auburn Tigers, this time coming on the other side of the ball via the defensive lineman Nick Coe, who would be a promising prospect to pick up this late in the draft.

The question mark on the pick number is because we do not yet know which pick the Rams have in the fifth round of the draft. We know that they do not have their own and they received a fifth-round pick from the Baltimore Ravens for Marcus Peters.

The problem is that we do not know if that is the Ravens or the Minnesota Vikings’ pick, as the Ravens had both picks at the time of the draft.

Fanspeak had us select with the Ravens pick, which is four spots lower than the Vikings pick, and we went with Coe, who provides promise on the exterior of the line.

Coe showed an ability to not only rush the quarterback at the end but the ability to play inside as well, which is great for the Rams 3-4 scheme that often uses interchangeable parts.

Coe did not have an impressive season in his junior year stats-wise and is foregoing his senior year for the draft, a decision that will knock him down to the later rounds.

However, he has the raw talent to succeed and may simply just be a year or two away from reaching that potential. There is no better player to learn from in the NFL than Aaron Donald, and even if he does not produce in year one, the Rams could unlock something with Coe.
