Yes, we have the Los Angeles Rams taking a quarterback in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and it is for a very specific reason: Sean McVay can use Arizona’s Khalil Tate in a role similar to Taysom Hill.

Tate has a great arm but his true value lies in his athleticism. The best part about his game at Arizona was his ability to break into the open field and make guys miss, so much so that is has been speculated that Tate should move to wide receiver.

The Rams should look to bring Blake Bortles back to be the traditional backup and have Tate be the swiss army knife that could help on special teams, make some throws at quarterback, run the football and even line up out wide or as a tight end.

At this point in the draft, the Los Angeles Rams are not going to get anyone that is really going to make a huge difference, which is what makes Tate so appealing.

As I previously said, at this point in the draft, the Los Angeles Rams are not going to get a prospect that is really going to make a huge difference.

Thus, the team should use this draft pick to add cheap depth to the secondary. Levonta Taylor is an athletic corner that enjoyed a decent season with Florida State. He does lack some size and would be best used in nickel or dime packages.

Next. It is way too early to give up on Jared Goff. dark

Walter Football ranks Taylor as the 35th-best corner in the 2020 NFL Draft and projects him to be a backup slot corner, which is all the Rams need him to be.
