The Los Angeles Chargers need help on the offensive line and with the team’s second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft they should look to draft the future of the center position that will be snapping the ball to Tua for years to come.

Well, it does not have to be Cesar Ruiz who is playing center, but the Michigan center is an extremely valuable prospect and if he is still available at the beginning of round two then the Chargers must capitalize on it.

Ruiz is one of the highest-touted interior lineman prospects in the draft this year. Not only does Ruiz have ample size for an interior lineman, but his athleticism and quickness make him an exciting prospect with a very high ceiling.

Ruiz should be an instant starter and has the ceiling of being a multiple-time Pro Bowler in the NFL. At the very worst, Ruiz has shown an advanced skill set that indicates that he will be a long-time starter in the NFL, even if he does not bring in accolade upon accolade.

Ruiz would be the best that the Chargers could do in the second round and if he does not get selected in the first 37 picks, as our simulator suggests, then he should undoubtedly be going to Los Angeles.
