Lynn Bowden is definitely an interesting prospect to watch for in the 2020 NFL Draft and if he is still available for the 109th pick, I could absolutely see the Chargers drafting him to not only get receiver depth but get a versatile offensive weapon as well.

Bowden was a wide receiver for Kentucky his junior season but made the transition to quarterback his senior year when a hole presented itself. Bowden would not be picked in the fourth round for his quarterbacking abilities, though, and instead would provide the Chargers depth as well as a shifty slot receiver option.

The great part about Bowden is that because of his football IQ and his versatility he can do so much more than that, which is huge out of a fourth-round pick. He could man the quarterback position in wildcat, similar to Taysom Hill, and would be a great option to be the Chargers’ end-around guy.

Heck, I wouldn’t even be surprised to see him in the backfield as a pass-catching pack on screens and flat routes. He is someone who can make his presence known anywhere on the field and the Chargers should take advantage of that.

Even if Anthony Lynn does not want to get overly creative, Bowden would be an excellent fourth receiver behind Travis Benjamin to select in the fourth round.
