Kings trade Tyler Toffoli to the Vancouver Canucks: A

The Kings traded forward Tyler Toffoli to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Tim Schaller (since waived to Ontario), the rights to forward Tyler Madden, a 2020 second-round pick, and a  2022 conditional fourth-round pick.

Toffoli, another member of the last Kings Stanley Cup-winning team (2014), was having a turnaround season. He was at 34 points with the Kings a year after he only got 38, and in his final game with the team, he scored a hat trick against the Colorado Avalanche in an outdoor series game.

Despite that, with the team going nowhere and a year left on his contract, Toffoli was an attractive trade piece and the Kings again added to their war chest of draft picks and Madden, a top 10 prospect in the Canucks system, is the leading goals and points leader at Northeastern University.

Blake again was able to add to the Kings number one prospect system and will be able to add more assets with the draft picks.
