The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers appear to be on a collision course for the Western Conference Finals, with the Lakers having some advantages.

Prior to the start of the 2019-2020 NBA season, we published an article regarding the advantages that the Los Angeles Lakers had over the Los Angeles Clippers for the season and vice versa. Let’s just say both fanbases were not happy.

Both fanbases were convinced that I was a biased fan of the other team and that the advantages I listed were not relevant. Some have been right (such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis being the better star duo and being more reliable) and others have not (such as the Clippers having definitively better coaching).

All in all, we have learned a lot about both teams thus far this season and it is fair to re-evaluate both parties and look at the current advantages that the sides have heading into the playoffs based on their experience this season.

And no, for any Clipper fan reading this article, this does not make me a biased Laker fan and just because the Lakers have advantages does not mean they are the outright better team, that debate will only be answered once the two meet up in the playoffs, if they do, of course.
