1. Jedrick Wills, OT

In this simulation, the Los Angeles Chargers managed to pick up the best offensive lineman in the entire draft, Jedrick Wills. In the real draft, there is a decent possibility that Wills get selected by the New York Giants before the Chargers are on the clock, and if so, it would not be surprising to see the team trade down.

If Wills is on the board then there should be absolutely no other prospect that the Chargers should be considering. On a team that is actually pretty talented, the one sour point of the roster is the offensive line and Wills would provide a huge and immediate boost to the Chargers’ efforts.

Assuming Russell Okung stays healthy, Wills would start his career on the right side of the offensive line at right tackle and be a huge component not only to protecting Bridgewater but to expanding the Chargers run game to the outside.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com compared Wills to Jason Peters of the Philadelphia Eagles, who has been a long-time tackle in the NFL and has been one of the best throughout his entire career.

The Chargers don’t just get better on the offensive line by selecting Wills, they land a franchise cornerstone that could be the start of a revamped offensive line of the future.
