Last five:

March 22 @ Detroit Pistons — Win

The Los Angeles Lakers may be on the road against the Detroit Pistons but they are coming up against a team that is essentially dismantled with Blake Griffin injured after trading Andre Drummond and Marcus Morris and releasing Reggie Jackson.

Just like the Hornets game, this is as easy as they come and the Lakers do what a title-contending team should do against a bad team: win easily.

March 24 @ Toronto Raptors — Win (in overtime)

The Los Angeles Lakers easily could lose this matchup against the Raptors as they have already lost to the defending champions once this season. On the road, the Raptors and Lakers will battle to a close finish, which will lead to the game going into overtime.

While the Raptors have a great chance of beating the Lakers, this is where the Lakers will really start to get hot and start rolling towards the playoffs, leading to a Lakers’ overtime win.

March 26 @ Cleveland Cavaliers — Win

Remember what I said about the Lakers starting to get rolling? Just look at who the team is set to play after the Raptors; the team is going to gain some momentum.

This game will have extra attention as it is LeBron’s homecoming to Cleveland, even if we have already done this story a million times. This is a Cavaliers team that just cannot figure it out and the Lakers will win this one easily.

March 28 @ Washington Wizards — Win

Again, look at who the Los Angeles Lakers get to play on this Eastern Conference road trip. These are the teams that LeBron has beat up on for his entire career and will continue to do so on the road trip, inflating the Lakers’ record and essentially clinching the West in the process.

It will be fun to watch Bradley Beal go toe-to-toe with the Lakers and likely score have of his team’s points, but this is a game that the Lakers should win 95 times out of 100.

March 30 @ Minnesota Timberwolves — Win

The Minnesota Timberwolves are a more interesting team with all of the changes that were made at the trade deadline, which included adding D’Angelo Russell alongside Karl-Anthony Towns to form another all-star duo in the league.

This is going to be a really fun game with the young duo looking to defeat the veteran duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis and it will come down to the wire. However, the Lakers, who are rolling at this point, will edge out the Timberwolves to win their seventh straight.

Overall March record: 12-3

The Los Angeles Lakers continue their winning ways with some huge wins over other contending teams at the beginning of the month before cleaning up some lesser teams at the end of the month.

Next. Lakers have these advantages over Clippers in playoffs. dark

Overall, assuming the Lakers beat the Grizzlies on Saturday night (which they might have already by the time you are reading this), the Lakers will have a 58-15 record after March and have the Western Conference all but clinched.
