Reason for: The Chargers are desperate and will pay Tom Brady more than he is worth

The biggest reason why the Los Angeles Chargers would be interested in Tom Brady is unfortunately not to win football games. While Brady is the greatest quarterback of all-time, there are several other options that would be better in Los Angeles than Brady.

The primary motive would be to sell tickets, as the Chargers are in a bit of a sticky situation moving into So-Fi Stadium. The team struggled to fill up a soccer stadium with its own fans and once it moves to So-Fi Stadium, those struggles are going to continue, making Dean Spanos’ decision to move look more and more ridiculous.

The one short-term fix that the Chargers could look towards to boost the ticket sales would be to bring in a big name. There is no bigger name than Tom Brady and him coming to the Chargers would certainly bring a lot of attention to LA.

This is great for Brady as well as if the Chargers were acting with financial motives instead of winning motives then they would be willing to pay him more than any other team is willing to pay him, as the idea is that he will bring the team more revenue.

If this is about respect for Brady, about finally getting that payday as the face of the NFL that he deserves, then there is no better team to turn towards than the Chargers, even if they have been cheap in the past.
