Los Angeles Lakers: The ideal matchups for the NBA Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers are well on their way to being the first seed in the Western Conference but could use some help with other seedings as well.

If you did not believe in the Los Angeles Lakers as true title contenders a week and a half ago then you certainly should now. The Lakers ripped off three really impressive wins in a row against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Bucks and Clippers games were the most impressive as they were against the two other teams that are viewed to have a legitimate shot of winning the NBA Title. The Bucks have been the best team in the league thus far and the Clippers have been built up like the Lakers’ ultimate foil.

While the Lakers lost to both teams earlier in the season, beating both of them in back-to-back contests is the most impressive thing the team could have done all season and is probably one of the best back-to-back wins in NBA regular-season history.

In the process, the Lakers locked up a playoff berth and are well on their way to being the first seed in the Western Conference. However, the Lakers still need certain matchups and seedings to benefit the most from being the first seed, as things could easily get more difficult for the team.
