4. Absolute Madness!

The ‘absolute madness!’ moment from the 2017 season is something that we have already talked about twice on LA Sports Hub. It made Justin Turner‘s top-five list of memorable moments and also made Joe Davis‘s top-five list of most memorable calls.

It makes Bellinger’s list as well, although a little bit lower than where it appeared on the Turner and Davis list.

For those that are unfamiliar, this is the game in which the Los Angeles Dodgers were trailing 5-2 entering the ninth inning against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2017. The Dodgers essentially kickstarted their magical run where they would pull wins out of nothing by hitting three consecutive home runs to tie the game and eventually win in the ninth.

Bellinger’s home run was the second of the three and at the time he was still an unproven rookie who was only being called up because of an injury to Joc Pederson. After Yasiel Puig blasted a ball into the left-field pavilion, Bellinger hit a towering moonshot that thunderously banged off the right-field foul pole.

This is one of the most memorable moments in recent Dodger history, but it only checks in at number four for Bellinger as he has provided other memorable moments. Plus, being the second of three home runs, it is easier to think about Turner in this situation than it is Bellinger.
