Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe Bryant rightfully makes Hall of Fame
By Nick Ziegler
With a lot of bad news going on around in the world, some good news is that Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers is officially a Hall-of-Famer.
Despite a lot of bad going on in the world right now due to the coronavirus, some big news for the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA was the official announcement that Kobe Bryant has been selected to the Hall of Fame.
Bryant will be joined by Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, as three of the best players in the last two decades. All three have won titles in the NBA, and they have plenty of accolades between them.
For Bryant’s family, this surely means a lot. Bryant and the life of his daughter along with others were taken too soon in a horrible helicopter crash. Since basketball was such a big part of Bryant’s life, this will be a great way to celebrate his professional career.
In Bryant’s career, he was able to become one of the most accomplished players in the history of the Lakers, and also in the entire NBA. Bryant finished his career with five rings, 18 All-Star game appearances, 15 All-NBA selections, and two Finals MVP awards to name a few of his accolades.
After Bryant retired, the Lakers had a really hard time trying to replace what he meant for the franchise. While it was a difficult rebuild for the Lakers, the franchise finally has been able to get back on track with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The duo of James and Davis is one of the best the Lakers have ever seen, and one of the best in the NBA right now. Before the NBA being suspended, the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference, which is something we haven’t been able to see in a long time.
Bryant is certainly still missed by many and it will surely be an emotional day when the ceremony will take place. After a fantastic career, it will be great to see Bryant in the Hall of Fame.
