– Justin Herbert

What could be the player staring the Chargers in the face when they are on the clock is Justin Herbert from Oregon. Herbert is certainly a solid prospect and would be a fine addition to replace Rivers in Los Angeles.

As a full-time starter in 2018, Herbert totaled 3,154 passing yards, 29 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Herbert certainly started to garner the attention of NFL scouts after his sophomore season, and he followed it up with a good year as a junior.

Last season, Herbert totaled 3,471 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and just six interceptions. If the Dolphins do indeed take a quarterback, the decision will likely come down to Herbert or Tua.

Like Tua, Herbert is a very good prospect, and he doesn’t come with the injury history that Tua does. At 6’6” Herbert has the size to be a great NFL quarterback, as he is also fairly mobile.

If Herbert is the quarterback that falls into the lap of the Chargers at six, they should be fairly happy and willing to take him. After two strong seasons as a starter at Oregon against some good competition, Herbert looks like he should translate into the NFL nicely.
