– Tua Tagovailoa

One of the most interesting prospects in the NFL Draft this season is Tua Tagovailoa. If not for injuries, Tua was being considered as a lock to be the No.1 overall pick not too long ago. However, injuries were an issue for Tua at Alabama, and we haven’t seen him on the field since he had hip surgery. Considering his age, having hip surgery is certainly something to be concerned about.

While Joe Burrow is now the consensus first overall pick, the next quarterback domino to fall could be Tua. The Miami Dolphins are currently picking ahead of the Chargers, and they will be looking for a quarterback as well.

Depending on what they see with Tua, they could take him or pass on him with their first pick. For the Chargers, there is certainly a risk if they draft Tua, but there could also be a huge reward.

At Alabama, Tua totaled 3,966 passing yards, 43 passing touchdowns, and just six interceptions in his sophomore season. Those are video game type numbers for Tua, and if he was eligible, he might have been the No.1 overall pick in the draft after that type of season.

While Tua did battle injuries in his junior season, he still was able to have 33 passing touchdowns and just three interceptions in nine games. If Tua is healthy, he could be the best player in the draft when it is all said and done.
