If the Lakers were able to land Paul, they would have to move a lot of players to match his salary. This means that the depth of the Lakers would be depleted. However, that is an issue that can be fixed.

As we saw in the offseason, the Lakers were able to sign veteran players looking to win a ring. Adding Paul would certainly help the Lakers accomplish that goal, and veteran players would like to join a team with a star trio.

Even though the Lakers might not be the deepest team in the league with a star trio, they would be the team to beat in a playoff series. If all three players were able to stay healthy, the Lakers’ offense would be really fun to watch.
