Los Angeles Rams: 5 Wide receivers to target in the second round of NFL Draft

The Los Angeles Rams recently decided to trade Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans. With their wide receiver gone, here are five options to replace him in the NFL Draft.
With the 2020 NFL Draft approaching in a couple of weeks, the Los Angeles Rams recently made a big move. The Rams decided to trade wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans along with a fourth-round pick for a second-round pick from the Texans.
Cooks has been with the Rams for just two seasons, and he was just one year removed from signing a big extension with the team. The decision to trade Cooks will create some more dead cap space for the Rams but will save them money in the long-term, and get them another second-round pick.
After a disappointing 2019 season and with concussion issues, the Rams moving on from Cooks isn’t a bad idea.
Considering the Rams won’t have their first-round pick this year or next year because of the Jalen Ramsey deal, getting an extra second-round pick for this year will help them get another affordable player who will hopefully contribute quickly.
While the Rams aren’t in bad shape without Cooks at wide receiver, they very well could use one of their second-round picks to draft a player at that position. There are needs for the Rams in other areas, but this is a good draft to need a player at the wide receiver position.
With that being said, here are five wide receiver options for the Rams in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
