With the NFL Draft almost here, recent Rams rumors have been about what they might do when they are on the clock.

As the 2020 NFL Draft quickly approaches, recent Rams rumors have been about what their plan will be.

After making the Super Bowl in 2018, the Rams had a disappointing 2019 season. The Rams missed the playoffs just one year removed from being the NFC Champions. As we have seen in recent years, teams that lose the Super Bowl seem to take a big step backward the following season. For the Rams, that was, unfortunately, the case.

The Rams will be without their first-round pick this season because of the trade for Jalen Ramsey during the season.

While the Rams will be without their first-round pick, they were able to grab another second-round pick in a trade with the Houston Texans. The Rams recently sent Brandin Cooks along with their fourth-round pick.

With Cooks gone, a recent report from Rich Hammond of The Athletic stated that the Rams might be looking at wide receiver in what could be a deep class at the position.

Since this is a great class for wide receivers, the Rams will have the opportunity to get a good player at the position in the second round or even later on. With a desire to play with more two-tight end sets, having a third receiver isn’t paramount.

However, the Rams don’t have a good third option at the position, as there is a huge drop off after Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp.

While getting a talented receiver would be nice, the Rams do have some other pressing needs. The franchise needs to get its offensive line fixed, as that unit was a mess at times last year. Also, the Rams could use an edge rusher to help Aaron Donald get pressure on the quarterback.

With the draft almost here, we won’t have to wait much longer to see what the team does. Since it is a deep class at wide receiver, we certainly could see the franchise address the position later on in the draft.
