It has been no secret that the Chargers’ offensive line hasn’t been good the past few seasons. With the struggles of the line, it resulted in the offense having some issues. This offseason, the Chargers began to attempt to fix the offensive line. They were able to add Bryan Bulaga from the Green Bay Packers, who should sure up the right side.

Wirfs is coming from Iowa and was a three-year starter for the program. Despite struggling in his freshman season, he continued to get better as time went on. The constant improvement by Wirfs resulted in him coming out after a great junior season.

Despite struggling as a pass blocker in his freshman season, Wirfs became one of the best pass blockers in college football last season. With a ton of strength already, Wirfs is going to be a great run blocker in the NFL like he was in college.

Wirfs appears to be a Top-10 player now, as he has risen on draft boards of late. For the Chargers, he could certainly be in play for them at sixth overall and would be a nice young building block for the offensive line and the franchise.
