When looking at the Chargers’ roster, they have some good weapons who can catch the ball. At wide receiver, the Chargers have a really good duo in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. At tight end, Hunter Henry is one of the best in the league when he is healthy. Also, out of the backfield, Austin Ekeler is a fantastic pass catcher.

While it looks like the Chargers would be set in this area, they have a huge drop off at wide receiver after their top two. Even though it wouldn’t be the most pressing need, the Chargers could look to build on a strength by selecting Jerry Jeudy from Alabama.

In the NFL, Alabama wide receivers have been turning out to be pretty good when they are drafted high. Jeudy looks like he will be a Top-10 pick in the NFL, and would help the Chargers offense quite a bit.

If the Chargers are going with Tyrod Taylor or another young quarterback, having as many options around him to help him succeed makes sense. Also, if you aren’t paying a QB a lot of money, it allows you to spend elsewhere. Jeudy was able to have a fantastic college career, and he could be the next great wide receiver to come out of Alabama.
