With the NBA season being suspended due to the coronavirus, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not we will see the Los Angeles Lakers finish the season.

It has been a challenging couple of months for the Los Angeles Lakers along with the rest of the NBA. When the coronavirus became a serious threat, the NBA wasted no time in suspending the league for the safety of players, coaches, and workers.

Since the league has been suspended, there hasn’t been a clear timetable about how the season will resume, or in what part of the season it will.

Recently, with some states easing the stay at home orders, teams will begin to have players once again allowed in the facilities. This, however, is a tricky matter. Some states haven’t been hit nearly as hard as others, as a state like New York seems pretty far away from having gatherings.

With a lot of uncertainty about the virus, it is impossible to know when or how the NBA will resume the season. However, LeBron James of the Lakers certainly wants the season to be finished if it can in a safe manner.

For the Lakers, they had the best record in the Western Conference before the season was suspended, as they were a true title contender this year. After years of struggles, and a disappointing first season in Los Angeles for LeBron James, he surely wanted to get back to the top.

While James might want to finish the season, it is hard to predict how or when that would happen. There has been a lot of ideas floated around since the league was suspended, as playing games in certain cities seems unlikely at this point. Furthermore, it is hard to imagine fans being in attendance until next season.

With LeBron and the Lakers having such a great season, hopefully, they can finish it out and compete in the playoffs. Since James isn’t getting any younger and the Lakers are built to win now, it would be a tough blow for the franchise if all the hard work from this season was for nothing.
