#1 Goran Dragic

The last unrestricted free agent that the Lakers should target during this free agency period is Goran Dragic. This may be the most difficult player for the Lakers to land. He is making 19.2 million dollars in the last season of his contract.

However, with Dragic being 34 years of age, it is unlikely that he will be seeing money that is similar to that. In this season, he is coming from the bench for his current team the Miami Heat. As a result of this, it is almost certain that Dragic will be moving on as he is still a starting-caliber point guard.

With him being at the age he is and never seeing any major playoff success, it is possible that Dragic would accept a mid-level exception deal from a contending team like the Lakers. If Los Angeles would be able to land a player like Dragic on such a team-friendly contract, it could be enough to make them almost finals locks.

He is a great playmaker which would take some of the weight of the offense off of the back of LeBron James. Along with this, Dragic is a player who can thrive in the pick and roll and there is arguably no better big man to run the pick and roll within the entire league than Anthony Davis.

Along with this Lakers bigs like JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard have been beneficiaries of the pick and roll often being implemented into the Lakers offense. Just like Kyle Korver, the defense is a weak aspect of Dragic’s game, however, the slack can and would be easily picked up by his teammates in return for what he brings on the offensive side of the ball.
