When it comes to the game of LeBron James, there a very few things that he does poorly on the basketball court as expected. James is one of the NBA’s leading scorers, but scoring might not be the best part of his game.
Despite being 6’9”, James is a point guard in a power forwards body. Throughout his career, James has always been a great passer. His vision has resulted in some ridiculous highlight passes, which are hard to do.
In his career, James is averaging 7.4 assists per game, which is a fantastic number. However, this season, James has embraced the role of a point guard, as he is averaging 10.6 assists per game.
Since the Lakers don’t have another great option as a playmaker, James has carried the load for much of the season. Having a great scorer like Anthony Davis has helped James on the court, as he doesn’t have to worry about trying to score 30 points a night with a player like Davis also on the team.
After a year in which the Lakers didn’t surround him properly with talent, James has a good squad around him and is making the most of it. Leading the league in assists is a great accomplishment, and James is going to be doing it this season.
