Week 5 @ New Orleans Saints

Right after the tough road game against the Bucs, the Chargers will be on the road once again the following week against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints were once again a great team in 2019 but fell short in the playoffs.

For the last few years, the Saints have just been one play away from success in the playoffs, but have ultimately come up short. When playing the Saints, that means that the Chargers will be playing their former quarterback, Drew Brees.

Since leaving the Chargers, Brees has gone on to become one of the best quarterbacks of all-time, and he is still going strong. Even though Brees and the Chargers split a long time ago now, he surely doesn’t forget where he started his career and still might be looking to make a statement.

Like against the Bucs, the Chargers’ defense is going to be tested in what could be their most difficult stretch of the season. Playing two games on the road in a different time zone is never easy, and it will be especially hard against two likely playoff teams from the NFC.
