Los Angeles Lakers: 4 Players they should have selected over Julius Randle
By Nick Ziegler
– Zach LaVine
One of the top players from the 2014 NBA Draft has been Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls. LaVine was drafted 13th overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves as a player with a ton of athletic ability, but who need to improve as a basketball player.
Well, LaVine looks like he has certainly improved as a player, as he is now arguably the best player on the Bulls after a big trade from Minnesota resulted in Jimmy Butler going to the Timberwolves a few seasons ago.
After missing time due to a torn ACL, LaVine was working on his game during that time, as he looks like a future All-Star caliber player now. The last two seasons with the Bulls, LaVine is averaging over 23 points per game, and this season, that number is over 25 points per game.
When a player starts scoring north of 25 points per night, no matter what team they are on, it is time to take notice. LaVine has grown from just being an athletic dunker, as he is shooing at a 38 percent clip from 3-point range on over eight attempts per game.
While LaVine is currently on the Bulls, he has been a highly sought after player in trade rumors once again because of his development.
