Pro Football Focus recently released their All-Decade Top 101 from the 2010s, for the Los Angeles Rams, Aaron Donald came in ranked very high.

As we wait for the NFL season to hopefully start, the Los Angeles Rams will be looking to bounce back from a bad season. The Rams went from being in the Super Bowl in 2018 to missing the playoffs in 2019.

This is a feat that no team wants to have happened but has become a bit of a trend if you aren’t the New England Patriots. Following the disappointing season, the Rams went through some noticeable changes this offseason.

The Rams decided to cut Todd Gurley and trade Brandin Cooks, as they look to save some money in the long-term and shake up the roster. One player that never had to worry about being traded or cut on the team, however, was Aaron Donald.

Since coming into the league, Donald has been one of the best defensive players in the league, and one of the best players overall. Recently, PFF ranked the Top 101 players of the 2010s, and Donald made the list at No.2.

Considering he didn’t even play in the entire decade, it is really impressive to see Donald at No.2. Only Tom Brady was ranked above Donald, and with all of his Super Bowls, that is to be expected.

Donald did come in ranked higher than guys like Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers, who will both be in the Hall of Fame one day. As a defensive tackle, Donald has changed the perception on the position, as he is a truly unique player.

Next. Why trading Cooks was a smart move. dark

With Brady now past his prime, you can argue that Donald is the best player in the NFL right now. As the Rams look to rebound from the disappointing season, you know that Donald will be ready and a favorite to be the Defensive Player of the Year once again. Even though it has only been a little more than half a decade in the NFL, Donald has solidified himself as one of the best players in the last 10 years.
