Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Reasons why Kobe Bryant is a Top-5 player of all-time

ESPN recently came out with its list of the Top-10 basketball players of all-time. For the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant shockingly came in ranked 9th. Here are three reasons why he is a Top-5 player of all-time.
ESPN recently released its Top-10 players of all-time in the NBA. To no surprise, the Los Angeles Lakers were well-represented. As one of the best franchises in the NBA, the Lakers ended up with six players who have played for their franchise on the list.
To the surprise of many, Kobe Bryant didn’t crack the Top-5 of the list, as he was ranked ninth. On ESPN’s list, they had Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell, and Magic Johnson in the Top-5.
Considering what Kobe has accomplished in his career, he is certainly deserving of being in the Top-5 of the greatest of all-time. Seeing all of the Lakers on the list was great, but many consider Kobe to be the greatest Laker of all-time, and the only one he was above was Shaquille O’Neal in the Top-10
Since the last few years of Kobe’s career were riddled with injuries and on bad teams, he might have saw himself drop a bit on the list. However, Bryant is one of the few players in the history of the NBA that any fan would feel comfortable taking the last shot.
While it is very hard to compare eras in the NBA, Bryant won five championships after the Jordan era came to an end.
One can debate about who the greatest of all-time is forever, but here are three reasons why Kobe is a Top-5 player of all-time.
