Bleacher Report recently named one reason why every team should be excited for the season. Here’s why the Los Angeles Chargers should be excited.

With the 2020 season getting closer and closer for the Los Angeles Chargers, we are all anxiously waiting to see what the team will be able to accomplish this season.

For the Chargers, things will likely ride on what type of production they get from the quarterback position. This offseason, the Chargers decided to let Philip Rivers walk in free agency, leaving a void at the position.

Last season, Tyrod Taylor was the backup to Rivers, and he surely got to get comfortable in the offense. This season, it looks like Taylor will be the guy to start the season, as he has previous experience as a starting quarterback, and has been able to win some games.

When Taylor was the starter for the Buffalo Bills, they certainly didn’t surround him with the greatest of talent at the skill positions. Recently, B/R said that Taylor playing with the weapons on the Chargers is what people should be excited to see.

Taylor will certainly be given the chance to succeed in Los Angeles. The Chargers are pretty loaded in terms of pass-catchers, as they have two 1,000-yard receivers in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Also, Hunter Henry is one of the better tight ends in the NFL.

Out of the backfield, Taylor will have the luxury of throwing the football to one of the best receiving running backs in the NFL in Austin Ekeler. For Taylor, these weapons could translate into him having a great season.

The Chargers have made some moves to hopefully sure up their offensive line, but the left tackle position is a serious question mark. For Taylor, he must know that the pressure will be on him to start the season if he struggles early on, the Chargers have the sixth overall pick in Justin Herbert waiting in the wings.

We have yet to see Taylor with a load receiving core like this in his career so far. As a player that certainly is talented, he could steal the show for the Chargers.
