Recent Lakers news is that Markieff Morris called out his brother and said that the Los Angeles Lakers would beat the Los Angeles Clippers in four games.

As we wait for the NBA season to resume, recent Lakers news has been about when we will get to see the team back on the floor together.

There have been some positive strides made for basketball to return, but there is still no plan for how the season could resume. Luckily, the practice facility for the Lakers did recently open, but there are still restrictions about how many people can be in the gym at one time.

If and when the season does resume for the Lakers, one of their main competitors will be the Los Angeles Clippers. At the trade deadline, the Lakers and the Clippers both tried to acquire Marcus Morris from the New York Knicks. With some more desirable assets, the Clippers were the team that was able to get the deal done.

After missing on Marcus, the Lakers were able to grab his brother Markieff after he was bought out. The two twins could be playing against each other in the Western Conference Finals this season, which would be a very entertaining subplot.

The two were recently having fun talking about a potential series, and after Marcus said the Clippers would win in seven games, Markieff fired back with Lakers in four in a seemingly joking manner.

While the Lakers do have the best record in the Western Conference, seeing them sweep the Clippers in a playoff series would be pretty shocking. In the regular season, the Clippers hold a 2-1 advantage over the Lakers, but the Lakers do have the most recent victory against them.

NBA fans have wanted to see this battle in the Western Conference all season long, as getting LeBron, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George in a playoff series would be a fantastic watch.

Hopefully, the season will resume and we will get to see this matchup. If that time comes, we will have to see which Morris twin has a more accurate prediction.
