As we hope for the NBA season to resume, here are three teams the Los Angeles Lakers should want to play from the West in the playoffs

Before the NBA was suspended, the Los Angeles Lakers were establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league. Just before the suspension, the Lakers were able to prove they were a true contender with wins over the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Both of those teams have previously beat the Lakers in the regular season, and with the season coming to a close at the time, those were certainly some statement wins. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the season has now been suspended for over two months, and all that momentum is gone.

Just recently, practice facilities began to open, and the league has been working on some ideas to finish the season. The NHL recently announced that they will be using a 24-team playoff tournament to determine a champion.

The NBA hasn’t come out with a final plan on what they will be doing to finish the season, but starting some sort of playoff tournament to resume the season seems likely. However, with how close some of the teams for the final few playoffs spots in the Western Conference, it wouldn’t be fair for them to not get a chance to play.

Here, we will take a look at a few of the teams that are currently in the Western Conference playoffs if the season did resume with the standings as is. For the Lakers, these are three teams that they should want to play.
