Lakers: Should they trade for Buddy Hield this offseason?
By Zane Harris
Buddy Hield is one of the best three-point shooters in the entire NBA. This offseason could be the perfect opportunity to make him a member of the Lakers.
Nearing the trade deadline back in February, it was rumored that the Lakers were pursuing a deal to get Buddy Hield onto the team. Hield would be the perfect fit onto an already loaded Lakers team and could be just what they need to push them into the lead as clear Finals favorites going into the 2020-20201 season.
Along with this, with the Brooklyn Nets being in talks with the Washington Wizards to get star shooting guard Bradley Beal, the time is now to beef up the roster even further. Currently, Hield is clearly upset with the role that he has on his current team the Sacramento Kings and he has made his frustrations public on just how unhappy he is on the team.
With former Lakers head coach Luke Walton being the current head coach of the team paired with the publicity of Hield being disgruntled, this is the perfect time to make a deal for the young sniper while his trade stock is at its lowest.
Hield would be a great fit with the team and playing alongside great facilitators and players who draw major attention from opposing defenses like LeBron James and Anthony Davis. In this piece what it would take to get Hield and what he would bring to the Lakers will be analyzed.
