Cornerback Jalen Ramsey

He’s always got something to say. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is not only the best cornerback in football, but he might provide us with some of the most entertaining and news-worthy soundbites.

As entertaining as Ramsey can be at times, the one thing we should watch for on Hard Knocks is how focused he is going into a contract year. Ramsey enters the last season of his rookie deal in 2020, and I have a feeling we are about to see his best football yet.

That starts in camp.

Sure, we will see plenty of the loose, fun personality. But, I am sure the fierce competitor will also be on full display. First and foremost, Ramsey wants to get paid in 2021. But, secondly, this guy wants to win. He wanted out of Jacksonville because of the fact they were headed in the wrong direction.

Training camp is a chance for Ramsey to be one of the guys who pulls this squad together and instills a nastiness; a confidence that was lacking in 2019 but the team had two years ago during their Super Bowl run.

I am most excited to see how Ramsey responds to the extra cameras behind the scenes and if he uses the additional spotlight to be the leader this team needs him to be. There is still plenty of talent on this roster, and Ramsey is at the center of it.
