Los Angeles Chargers: 5 burning questions on offense

4. Will wide receiver K.J. Hill burst onto the scene?
Despite being a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, K.J. Hill will be one of the Chargers most interesting rookies to watch in 2020. While Keenan Allen and Mike Williams get all the attention in the wide receiver room, Hill could very easily burst onto the scene in 2020, forming a nice trio with Williams and Allen.
While at Ohio State, Hill averaged 11.6 yards per reception, along with 20 touchdowns, and 201 total receptions. Pretty impressive production for a player who slipped all the way to the seventh-round.
Besides the production, which is off the charts, Hill is also a very polished route runner and has excellent hands as well. For the Chargers, he’ll likely be a slot receiver who’s biggest impact will come in the short and intermediate passing game. Unfortunately, Hill doesn’t lack breakaway speed, however, he does showcase some toughness making him an intriguing player to watch in 2019.
Despite some of the limitations that he may have, Hill could still be one of the Chargers many rookies that has a true impact in 2020. If this happens, it’s all but likely that he’s in the starting lineup once 2021 rolls around.
