Kyle Kuzma

The next player that will have to perform well if the Lakers want to win a title is Kyle Kuzma. It has not been an easy third season in the league for Kuzma. To start, Kuzma was injured working out with Team USA. Generally, this is a great time for a young player like Kuzma to get better against some of the best players in the league. Kuzma was performing well with the team, but a lower leg injury resulted in him missing all of training camp, the preseason, and the start of the season.

Kuzma started the year off behind the eight ball, and with all of the new faces, including a superstar in Anthony Davis, Kuzma had a hard time adjusting to his role.

This season, Kuzma is averaging 12.5 points in just under 25 minutes per game. Compared to his first two seasons with LA, his numbers are down significantly in those categories.

However, the restarted season gives Kuzma a unique chance to turn the page before the playoffs start. There has been a long break and the poor regular season can be quickly forgotten if Kuzma performs as he did in his first two seasons with LA.
