As we get ready for the Los Angeles Dodgers to start the season, here are three pitchers who need to be better for them in 2020
It has been a long pause for the baseball season, but it looks like the Los Angeles Dodgers will be back in action in July.
For the past few years, the Dodgers have been right on the doorstep of either getting to the World Series or winning the World Series. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the Dodgers have come up short.
While getting so close and losing is a tough pill to swallow, this is still a very good team for the Dodgers and one that will compete for a World Series yet again this season. This offseason, the Dodgers made a huge splash when they traded for Mookie Betts and David Price from the Red Sox.
The Dodgers didn’t have to give up a ton for Betts, as the Red Sox were focused on clearing the contract of Price. However, the Dodgers now have one of the best combos in the league in Betts and Bellinger.
For the Dodgers, scoring runs has never really been an issue and their offense should be even better with Betts on the team. However, one area that the Dodgers need to improve in is their bullpen.
The bullpen was an issue for the Dodgers for most of last season, but they surprisingly didn’t make a move at the trade deadline. That might have been a mistake, but the price for quality relief pitchers was high.
As we get ready for the 2020 season, here are three pitchers who need to improve from last year for Los Angeles.
