New training camp for the Lakers

While Kuzma hasn’t had a good season, a lot of it was bad luck for the third-year pro. Last summer, Kuzma was part of Team USA. This is generally a huge honor and a great opportunity for young players to get better. Kuzma was playing against some of the best players in the league and getting better every day. As a stretch forward, Kuzma’s game fits nicely for international play. Perhaps by coincidence, Team USA didn’t play nearly as well without Kuzma.

With Team USA, Kuzma suffered a lower leg injury that at first wasn’t thought to be a big deal. However, it ended up resulting in him not being able to play with Team USA, missing training camp, and missing the preseason. Also, Kuzma missed the first few games of the regular season.

Missing all of this time certainly harmed Kuzma. He had a bunch of new teammates to learn how to play with, but no time to do so. Now, when the NBA restarts, they will have a little bit of a training camp for the players to get back into shape and get back into the swing of things.

Kuzma getting a chance to go through a training camp will certainly help benefit him when the season does resume. Getting off to a better start when the NBA gets back going will be great for his confidence moving forward.
