LeBron James has a second superstar

One of the reasons why James will win a ring this year is because of the player that they acquired last summer. When the Lakers signed LeBron James, many expected that a second star would be coming soon after. However, for James’ first season in Los Angeles, they weren’t able to get him that second star, and none of the young core stepped up to be that guy.

Last season, one of the biggest storylines for the entire league was the trade drama that surrounded the Lakers and Anthony Davis. Despite negotiations becoming very public, Davis was never traded to the Lakers last season.

However, with new front office members in charge after the season, the two sides were able to get the deal done. Adding Davis was huge for the Lakers, as it created one of the best duos in the league.

To win a championship in the league nowadays, a team will generally need at least two All-Stars. The Lakers now have that, and they have a true superstar in Davis. With Davis, James has one of the best teammates that he has in his entire career. On both the offensive end and defensive end of the court, Davis is one of the best in the league. Having a guy like that will help James win a ring.
