The Los Angeles Dodgers will be starting their season on Thursday at home against the San Francisco Giants. The quest for title No.7 will officially begin.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have arguably one of the most stacked rosters in the entire league, and if we’re being frank, having Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts on the same team is simply unfair. But nonetheless, a championship in 2020 would definitely avenge for the two straight World Series defeats in 2017 and 2018.

The Dodgers’ starting rotation is similar to last year with Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, and Alex Wood, but they lost starters Hyun-Jin Ryu and Rich Hill to Toronto and Minnesota, respectively, in free agency, while Kenta Maeda got traded to Minnesota.

They added David Price in the trade for Betts, but Price isn’t playing this season. The bullpen with Dustin May, Pedro Baez, Ross Stripling, Joe Kelly, and closer Kenley Jansen is still solid. Brusdar Graterol is a good addition for the bullpen, who came to the team in the Maeda trade.

The Dodgers have Will Smith and Austin Barnes behind the plate after Russell Martin opted for free agency, and the two of them will be great for the pitchers. The position players for the Dodgers will be their key to success this season if they can be consistent with hitting and fielding. The team combined for a .257 batting average last season, and adding Betts’ .295 average last season gives them potential to be a high-scoring team.

Betts hit his first homerun in a Dodgers uniform on July 11 during an intra-squad game.

Los Angeles starts the new shortened 60-game regular season at home against San Francisco on July 23 in a four-game series before starting a 9-game road trip to Houston on July 28 followed by Arizona and San Diego afterwards.

The Dodgers have the strongest chance to win 50 games and dominate the league. Odds Shark, My Bookie, and BetOnline have the Yankees and Dodgers leading the way in odds to win the 2020 World Series at +375, +375, and +400, respectively while Vegas Insider has the Dodgers leading the odds at +375 and Yankees at +400. I’m sure Dodgers fans like those odds.
