John Kelly

John Kelly was the Rams 6th round selection (176th overall) in the 2018 draft and hasn’t done much for the team. In 2018, he appeared in four games getting 27 carries for 74 yards for an average of 2.7 yards a run while getting six first downs and no touchdowns. In the air, he caught two passes for 27 yards with one catch going for 18 yards and the other going for nine.

Last season, he appeared in the same amount of games as he did in 2018 but did significantly worse. He only got three rushing attempts for a total of three yards while being a non-factor in the passing game as he didn’t get a reception or a target.

As previous seasons show, Kelly won’t be much of a factor in the 2020 season with the only way he’ll get significant playing time is if two running backs on the team go down with injuries. When he does get playing time which will be in a limited role, he will hope to get his first career touchdown.

The Rams backfield carries a ton of question marks going into the upcoming season but everyone is hoping that someone will emerge as the primary running back with strong performances.
