As we get closer to the NBA season resuming, Bleacher Report recently ranked the weakest link in every starting lineup. Who was it for the Los Angeles Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers have finished up their scrimmage schedule after defeating the Washington Wizards on Monday. Now, they will be getting ready for the seeding portion of the NBA restart, and they will be starting against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Since this will be their first meaningful game in months, both teams will likely be rusty and it certainly won’t be the best basketball we see from either team.

For the Lakers, their goal is now to win a championship. The Lakers are locked into a playoff spot and should be the No.1 seed in the Western Conference. Even though it has been a great season for the Lakers, there are some concerns heading into the playoffs.

Avery Bradley, who was the starting point guard for much of the season decided to opt-out of the resumed season. Shortly after the Lakers arrived in the bubble, Rajon Rondo suffered a thumb injury that is going to keep him out for a while.

Since the Lakers are down their starting point guard and one of their backup points guard, they will have a different looking starting lineup. As of now, it looks like Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will be the guy for the Lakers sliding in as a starter.

Recently, Bleacher Report named the weakest link for every starting lineup. For the Lakers, it was Caldwell-Pope.

This season, KCP has done well for the Lakers, mostly coming off the bench. While he hasn’t had as big of a role as in other years with the Lakers, KCP has been very efficient. This season, KCP is averaging 9.5 points and is shooting 47 percent from the field and almost 40 percent from beyond the arc.

If KCP is the weak link for the Lakers in the starting lineup, that is a pretty good problem for them. KCP is capable of being a strong shooter and defender, and with the bigger role as a starter, he should see his stats go up.
