The Los Angeles Lakers will be getting to play their first meaningful game in months against the Los Angeles Clippers. Luckily, it looks like Anthony Davis will be good to go.

After months of waiting, the NBA season is finally set to resume for the Los Angeles Lakers. It has felt like forever since we last saw the Lakers on the court due to the coronavirus playing meaningful basketball, but we won’t have to wait much longer.

On Thursday, the Lakers and the Clippers will be squaring off for the fourth time this season, and the final time before the playoffs. For most of the season, we have all been waiting for the Clippers and the Lakers to hopefully meet in the Western Conference Finals.

There would be plenty of storylines to follow if these two teams did meet up in the WCF, and all basketball fans would love to see.

However, we still have a ways to go before that can happen, and one more game for the two before the playoffs start.

For the Lakers, there was some concern that Anthony Davis might be out due to an eye injury, but it appears like he should be good to go for Thursday night. Furthermore, Davis might even wear some protective eye gear. Here’s what he said with text via SilverScreenAndRoll.com.

"“He looked better than anybody that’s ever worn them,” Vogel said in a conference call with reporters on Wednesday. “It’s a style thing, you know? We’ve got a good-looking superstar that looks great in glasses, or goggles or whatever you want to call those things.”"

With Davis in, the Lakers will be looking to win a second straight against the Clippers. Just before the league was suspended, the Lakers were able to beat the Clippers for the first time all season. This was a huge win for the Lakers, as losing 3 straight to the Clippers would have been bad.

It is hard to know what type of basketball we will be seeing on Thursday night. Due to the long layoff, neither team will likely be firing on all cylinders, as there has to be a good amount of rust. Hopefully, the Lakers will be able to get in some good run and get ready for the playoffs
