Los Angeles Lakers: What if they land Paul George and Chris Paul in 2022

The Chicago Bulls win the lottery and with the number one overall pick, they select LeBron James Jr. so, in this year, we will get to see the King and the Prince take the court against each other.
Anthony Davis declined his player option which makes him an unrestricted free agent. On top of this, Chris Paul is also an unrestricted free agent meaning the Lakers will have to make moves fast to keep their core together.
The team signed Davis to a four year 185.77 million dollar deal and Paul to a one year 15.62 million dollar deal. With the team successfully keeping the core together they are more or less out of money once again to fill out their bench, however, they sign Martin Hart, Sergei Postnov, Nicolo Melli, David Nwaba, Jonah Bolden, and Anderson Ford to fill out the rest of the roster.
At the beginning of the year, LeBron and Chris Paul both announce they will be retiring from the NBA at the end of the year. In this season, both Paul George and Chris Paul have been put on the bench. The Lakers are running a staring five of Nimari Burnett, Josh Green, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Rudy Gobert.
With Paul George, Daniel Theis, Chris Paul, and David Nwaba. Early in the year, the Lakers found a way to sign Darius Garland to a minimum contract after he went unsigned in free agency further setting them up for a future without LeBron and Chris Paul.
The Lakers finished with a record of 51-31 in the final tour with their two vets. Anthony Davis made the All-NBA first team and the All-defensive second team. While LeBron made the All-NBA second team in his final year in the league.
The Lakers once again finished as the fourth seed and take down the Grizzlies, the Timberwolves, and the en route to another Finals appearance. This time they face off against the Miami Heat. This time it takes the Lakers 7 games to take care of business coming back from a 3-0 series deficit.
LeBron ended his career winning his fourth Finals MVP and winning his fourth ring at the age of 39. He averaged 25.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks finishing off what could be considered the best career in NBA history.
