LA Kings Draft: Two-round mock draft 1.0

Round 1, Second overall: Quinton Byfield

The LA Kings haven’t been afraid to take taller centers, and Byfield has already drawn comparisons to Anze Kopitar. He has deceptive speed, despite his measurements. Byfield put up crazy numbers as a 16-year-old for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL during the 2018-2019 season, scoring 29 goals with 32 assists for 61 points.
He followed that with a 32 goal, 50 assist-season this past year. The 17-year-old was limited at the World Juniors, buried on the fourth line of a deep Canadian team, injuring his wrist in the process.
Before the shutdown, he returned to Sudbury, tallying four assists in three games.
