The Los Angeles Lakers were able to earn their second straight win over the Portland Trail Blazers thanks to a big performance from their star.

The 2020 NBA Playoffs didn’t start out well for the Los Angeles Lakers. After the long wait, there was a lot of expectations for them to succeed, but the Trail Blazers were able to ride the momentum from strong play in the seeding portion of the NBA Bubble into a Game 1 win.

However, a must-win Game 2 for the Lakers resulted in a blowout win for Los Angeles. Falling down 2-0 in a series is never a good thing, and the Lakers were able to avoid it. After blowing the Trail Blazers out in Game 2, the Lakers had to expect Portland to have a big bounce back.

In Game 3, the Trail Blazers certainly came looking for the win, but LeBron James continued his great play in the playoffs so far and was able to hold them off. In the win, James totaled 38 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

It is clear that James is in full playoff mode, as he is looking like an MVP and one of the best players in the world. So far in the series, James is averaging a triple-double, as he is doing it all once again for the Lakers.

In addition to James, the Lakers are also getting some good play from Anthony Davis in the last two games. Davis has been really aggressive on the offensive end, as the Trail Blazers have had issues trying to cover him without fouling.

The superstar duo of the Lakers is doing exactly what the team needs from them. So far, the supporting cast has been a bit inconsistent, so it is important for LeBron and Davis to continue to thrive.
