Kobe Bryant: Top 5 moments with the Los Angeles Lakers

#5 His Three-Peat With the Lakers
The first moment is arguably one of Kobe’s biggest accomplishments of his career and speaks to just how much of a powerhouse the Lakers were as a team throughout almost the entire duration of his career.
At only 21 years old, Kobe Bryant would win his first NBA championship with the Lakers at an age in which most kids would only be in their senior year of college. This feat speaks to just how professional Kobe was at such an early age.
Along with this, it shows just how talented he was while being so young. Bryant and the Lakers would go on to win the next two consecutive championships as well. His playoff stats were incredible in this stretch as well, especially when taking into account that he was so young as well as hard to share touches with the best center in the league at the time, Shaquille O’Neal.
Over the three-peat, Kobe had playoff averages of 26.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals a game. The feat of a three-peat has not been done since Kobe and the Lakers achieved it. Although there have been super teams like the Miami Heat with LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors dynasty, there has yet to be a team that has been able to pull off a three-peat since the Kobe and Shaq Lakers.
It is possible that the duo would have been able to put together a few more championship runs, however, it was better for both of their careers that they went their separate ways and were able to shine brighter in different environments. Kobe got the last laugh in the feud between him and Shaq, finishing his career with five rings compared to Shaq’s four.
