Recent Lakers rumors have been about when they will be playing their next game after boycotting Game 5 against the Trail Blazers earlier in the week.

After the NBA decided to boycott games on Wednesday, there was a lot of uncertainty when or if we would see the Los Angeles Lakers once again this season. There were some reports and talk about leaving the bubble, but it appears as though the NBA season will continue after taking a few days off.

Recent Lakers rumors have been that they will be back in action on Saturday, as they look to finish off the Portland Trail Blazers.

Players were certainly upset after what happen in Wisconsin, where Jacob Blake was shot in the back seven times. The Milwaukee Bucks decided to not take the court on Wednesday in a boycott, and the rest of the teams scheduled to play follow their lead.

For the Lakers, they will be looking to finish off the Trail Blazers on Saturday if reports are correct. The Trail Blazers will be without their star player, as Damian Lillard suffered a knee injury in the Game 4 loss. Lillard has left the NBA bubble to go back to Portland to get the knee checked out.

Without Lillard, the Lakers should be able to handle their business against the Trail Blazers. Prior to the boycott, the Lakers were listed as big favorites against Portland, and there isn’t a reason why they shouldn’t win in Game 5.

Finishing off the Trail Blazers in Game 5 will give the Lakers some more time to rest and prepare for the next round of the playoffs. This season has certainly been a difficult and emotional one for not only the Lakers, but the entire NBA. Hopefully, things improve and they are able to finish the season strong.
