As the Los Angeles Dodgers try to win a championship this season, here is one player they should target in a trade.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are once again off to a fantastic start to the season, as they have the best record in the majors. For the Dodgers, success in the regular season isn’t all that uncommon.

However, what the Dodgers want to do is win a World Series. For the past few years, the Dodgers have been close to winning it all, but fell short for one reason or another.

The Dodgers have been very active in the trade market before the deadline and in the offseason, and this season should be no different. The Dodgers made a blockbuster deal in the offseason to acquire Mookie Betts and David Price from the Boston Red Sox.

Price decided to opt out of the season, but Betts has been fantastic for the Dodgers so far. If the Dodgers decided to really make another splash, one player they should pursue is Trevor Bauer of the Cincinnati Reds.

Bauer has had a fantasic season for the Reds so far, as he has always been a pitcher with a ton of talent, but maybe just hasn’t been able to put it all together. However, this season, Bauer has totaled s 3-1 record, 1.65 ERA, 49 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 0.74.

It has been an outstanding season for Bauer so far in Cincinnati, as he leads the National League in WHIP and opponents batting average. Bauer could very well be in the running for the CY Young this season with his performance so far, and he would really make the Dodgers’ rotation scary in the playoffs.

Adding Bauer to a rotation with Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler would give the Dodgers one of the best if not the best trio of starters in baseball. The price for Bauer won’t be cheap, but it could result in them getting over the hump and winning a World Series.
