The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the best franchises in the history of the majors. Here are their five best bullpens of all-time.

The Los Angeles Dodgers came into the 2020 season with a lot of question marks tied to their bullpen. New faces were added as reclamation projects and old faces were in need of comebacks.

Now with a two-thirds of the season almost over the Dodgers bullpen has pitched spectacularly this season and will be one of their biggest assets as September turns to October.

Going into their next series at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Dodgers bullpen is first in major league baseball with a 2.76 ERA, less than half a run from their collective ERA (3.39) in 2019.

If the Dodgers bullpen continues with their succesful season and make October a championship month then perhaps this bullpen will join the best bullpens in team history, these are the five they would be competing with.

2017

The 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen statistically on paper doesn’t look as strong as the other iterations being considered. As a bullpen they had a 75% save percentage which is the second worst among the bullpens being compare here. But they were buoyed by by a strong staff that didn’t let their starters down allowing just 25% of inherited runs which is among the best season for any Dodgers bullpen.

The Dodgers strength truly laid in their back end bullpen, once the front office decided on it the Dodgers were lights out. The seventh-eight-ninth innings were commanded by Kenta Maeda, Brendan Morrow, and Kenley Jansen.

This strength was highlighted in the playoffs where the three combined to go 41 innings while striking out 42, and getting three wins and five saves out of the bullpen. Those three shortened games for the starters and were instrumental in getting the Dodgers their first World Series win in 29 years.
