The Los Angeles Lakers were able to take a very important game against the Houston Rockets in their series matchup.

After dropping the first game of the series to the Houston Rockets, the Los Angeles Lakers have now won two straight, and have taken command of the series.

With the series tied, Game 3 was certainly an important one, and the Lakers rose to the occasion. Like it has been for much of the playoffs, the Lakers were once again led by Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

James had another magnificent game, as he totaled 36 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. In addition to James, Anthony Davis also played really well, as he totaled 26 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists.

The all-around performance from Davis once again proves that he has been a great partner for James this season. While the combination of James and Davis has been fantastic, the Lakers are also starting to get a boost from the bench.

While the rest of the starting lineup has been somewhat ineffective, the bench has really started to find their groove. Once again, Rajon Rondo was in playoff Rondo mode, as he totaled 21 points and nine assists off the bench.

With Rondo playing well, James doesn’t have to work as hard on the offensive end, as the Lakers have been able to rely on him as a playmaker. In addition to Rondo, Kyle Kuzma has also been playing much better with Rondo in the lineup.

Now that the Lakers are getting some efficient and solid production from their bench to go along with their two superstars, they are going to be in a great position to advance in the playoffs.
